Strawberries & Cream

Ingredients

2 punets strawberries (remove stems and slice thin)

1 large tin Nestles Cream
4 T Castor Sugar
10 Almonds (sliced with peel)
   

METHOD

1.   Whisk Nestles Cream and Castor sugar.

2.   Add sliced Strawberries and Almonds. Mix in gently.

3.   Serve in a deep transparent glass server.

4.   Decorate with mint leaves.

 

 

Dadima's Icy Mint Crisp

Ingredients

2 l Vanilla Ice Cream  
1 pkt Tennis Biscuits (crushed)
2 Peppermint Chocolate (crushed)
½ Condensed Milk
  Dada's Apple Green Food Colour

METHOD

1.   Allow Ice Cream to melt.

2.   Add melted ice cream to a mixing bowl. Fold in tennis biscuits, peppermint crisp and condensed milk.

3.   Add just enough food colour to obtain a pastel green colour.

4.   Set in a mould.

5.   Store in a freezer for about 8 hours or overnight to allow for setting.

6.   Remove from mould just before serving onto a transparent glass server.

 

Dadima's Delectable Granadilla Delight

Ingredients

½ l Water  
1 t Dada's China Grass Powder
½ cup Sugar
250ml Granadilla Flavoured cool drink
2 Granadilla (remove pulp)

METHOD

1.   Bring water, sugar and china grass powder to a boil.

2.   Remove from heat.

3.   In a transparent, deep, glass server, pour cool drink.

4.   Add cooled mixture and granadilla pulp to this.

5.   Allow to set for approximately 1 hour.

6.   Serve Chilled.

 

Dadima's Jelly

Ingredients

6 cups Water

1 cup Sugar
2 t Dada's China Grass Powder
a few drops Dada's Food Colour
¼ t Saffron

METHOD

1.   In a saucepan of 1L capacity, bring water, sugar, china grass powder and Saffron to a boil.

2.   Pour into transparent glass servers and add food colour of your choice.

3.   Allow to set and cool.

4.   Serve Chilled.
